Senate Enrolled Act No. 57 Summary

• Submits a constitutional amendment to Indiana voters at the 2016 general election that would add Section 39 to Article 1 of the Indiana Constitution.

• Establishes the right to hunt, fish, and harvest wildlife as forever preserved for the public good, subject only to laws and rules prescribed by the General Assembly.

• Permits the General Assembly to establish laws and rules to promote wildlife conservation and management and preserve the future of hunting and fishing.
