Legislative Description
Abortion. Makes certain findings. Extends the waiting period for an abortion from 18 to 48 hours. Imposes additional disclosure requirements relating to the informed consent to an abortion. Increases the penalties for abortion related violations as follows: (1) For failing to submit a timely pregnancy termination from a Class B misdemeanor to a Level 4 felony. (2) For performing an abortion not expressly provided by law from a Level 5 felony to a Level 4 felony. (3) For failing to obtain a parental consent when required from a Class A misdemeanor to a Level 4 felony. (4) For a violation
