Congratulates Elizabeth D. Baier on her retirement effective March 31, 2016, after 34 years as Executive Director of the United Way of Posey County, making her the longest-serving United Way executive director in Indiana

Recognizes her accomplishments since being named executive director on September 16, 1982, including establishing the Leadership Giving Program, creating board training materials, assisting with 211 services in Posey County, and securing numerous grants

Notes Baier was honored with a Sagamore of the Wabash (Indiana's highest honorary award) and that Mount Vernon and Posey County designated "Elizabeth Baier Day" on her 25th anniversary, with the Elizabeth D. Baier Youth Spirit Award created in her honor

Acknowledges her extensive community involvement as a member of St. Matthew Church, Volunteer Lawyer Program Board, Posey County Historical Society Board, and various bar associations since 1979, and her law practice in Mount Vernon
