The Indiana Senate recognizes the Indiana State Bar Association Leadership Development Academy (LDA) for empowering lawyers to serve as role models in ethics and professionalism in bar associations, communities, and organizations.

The LDA Class of 2016 is the fifth annual class, consisting of 25 Indiana lawyers admitted to practice for 15 years or less.

LDA participants are exposed to topics including public service, economic development, government, military, leadership, diversity and inclusion, and travel the state engaging with Indiana Supreme Court justices, Court of Appeals judges, legislative and executive branch members, and business and military leaders.

A principal LDA theme emphasizes servant leadership—"to serve first, and out of service we are given the honor to lead."

The Secretary of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to the Indiana State Bar Association Leadership Development Academy and the members of its fifth annual class.
