Notes her authorship of legislation raising the execution age in Indiana and her roles as first woman elected president of Gary Common Council and first African-American assistant minority leader of Senate Democratic Caucus.

Directs the Secretary of Senate to transmit a copy of the resolution to Senator Rogers.
