Legislative Description
Primary election campaign finance reporting. Increases the maximum civil penalty for a delinquent filing of a preprimary campaign finance report from $1,000 to $5,000. Provides that if certain candidates at a primary election: (1) had at least one opponent in the primary election; and (2) spent or received at least $5,000 after the date of the preprimary campaign finance report and before July 1; the candidate must file a report of receipts and expenditures dated as of the third Wednesday of July after the primary election.
