Legislative Description
Lake County innkeeper's tax. Amends the Lake County innkeeper's tax statute concerning: (1) uses of the innkeeper's tax; (2) removal of a member of the Lake County convention and visitor bureau; and (3) authority to enter into leases for the construction, acquisition, and equipping of a convention center. Provides that certain recipients that receive innkeeper's tax distributions shall forfeit the right to receive those distributions for a period not to exceed 3 years if the recipient fails to spend the distributed money in compliance with the law.
