Congratulates the Wapahani High School girls volleyball team on winning the 2016 Class 2A Indiana High School Athletic Association Volleyball State Championship.

Team defeated Covenant Christian in five sets (22-25, 25-17, 23-25, 25-22, 15-8) on November 5, 2016, at Worthen Arena in Muncie to win their second consecutive Class 2A championship.

Key performances included Skyler Van Note's 28 kills, Estella Davis with 22 kills, and Lexi Spence (ranked second in state in assists) with 61 assists for the match.

Coach Jared Richardson led the 32-6 overall record team (31-6 regular season) to their fifth state volleyball championship and fourth in the past six years; Chase Curry won the Class 2A Mental Attitude Award.

Directs the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit a copy of the resolution to each player, manager, coach, athletic director, and principal of Wapahani High School.
