Lilly King, born February 10, 1997, from Evansville, Indiana, attends Indiana University and competes for the Hoosiers swimming and diving team.

During her freshman year at the 2016 NCAA finals, King won the NCAA championship in the 100 yard breaststroke (56.85) and 200 yard breaststroke (2:03.59), setting American, NCAA, and multiple other records.

King qualified for and competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, winning gold medals in the 100 meter breaststroke (setting an Olympic record) and the 400 meter medley relay with the U.S. women's swimming team.

King holds the U.S. 100 yard breaststroke record with a time under 57 seconds and jointly holds the 200 meter medley relay world record (1:43.27) with her teammates.

The Indiana General Assembly congratulates King on her outstanding Olympic performance and accomplishments and directs the Principal Clerk to transmit a copy of the resolution to King and her family.
