• Congratulates the Yorktown High School volleyball team on winning the 2016 Indiana High School Athletic Association Class 3A Volleyball State Championship

• Yorktown finished the 2016 season with a 37-1 record, including 27 consecutive victories, and was ranked No. 1 in Class 3A and the state, seventh in MaxPreps Xcellent 25, and 19th nationally

• Tigers have won Class 3A state championships in 2000 and 2011, been runner-up in 2009, 2012, and 2015, and won three consecutive Delaware County titles and eight consecutive conference titles

• Directs the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit a copy of the resolution to 14 team members, manager Hunter Slaven, head coach Stephanie Bloom, assistant coaches Rhonda Wilson and Jeri Owens, athletic director Paul Heidenreich, and principal Stacey Brewer
