Plainfield High School's "We the People" team finished second at Indiana state finals and will compete at the national competition as a wild card team

The team is coached by teacher Christopher Cavanaugh and this marks the second time Plainfield High School will compete in the national civics competition

The "We the People" competition teaches elementary, middle, and high school students about American democracy and the United States Constitution through mock congressional hearings

The Indiana General Assembly congratulates the team on its performance and wishes members continued success in all future endeavors

The Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives will transmit a copy of the resolution to each team member, teacher Christopher Cavanaugh, principal Melvin Siefert, and superintendent Scott Olinger
