Honors Cesar Chavez on his birthday (March 31) for his nonviolent organizing efforts to secure just wages, safe labor conditions, and dignity for farmworkers.

Recognizes Proteus, Inc., an Iowa-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving migrant and seasonal farmworkers, immigrants, and others since 1979 in Iowa, Indiana, and Nebraska.

Acknowledges Proteus, Inc.'s mission to provide health, educational, and economic opportunities while embracing diversity, creating community programs, and promoting fair wages and safe working environments.

Directs the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit a copy of the resolution to the Kokomo chapter of Proteus, Inc.
