Recognizes Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, the first sorority established by African-American college women, founded at Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 1908 and now operating 850 chapters internationally.

Notes Indiana hosts 22 Alpha Kappa Alpha chapters on college and university campuses with active alumnae groups throughout the state committed to community service in education, health, economics, arts, and family.

Acknowledges the sorority's service initiatives under the international platform "Launching New Dimensions of Service," including programs addressing Alzheimer's disease, mental health, childhood hunger, fiscal responsibility, and environmental impact.

Directs the Indiana General Assembly to recognize Central Regional Director Kathy A. Walker-Steele, State Connection Chair Vanessa J. Summers, and members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Day at the Capitol for their community work.

Requires the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit a copy of the resolution to Central Regional Director Kathy A. Walker-Steele, State Connection Chair Vanessa J. Summers, and members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Day at the Capitol.
