Recognizes his 34 years as WISH-TV's political reporter and 25 years as host and producer of WFYI-TV's Indiana Week in Review, which he revived in 1991 after it was temporarily suspended.

Notes his coverage of six Indiana governors, 14 national conventions, and interviews with notable figures including former President Ronald Reagan and President Donald Trump.

Acknowledges his awards including the Larry Conrad Award from the Indianapolis Press Club, three Sagamore of the Wabash awards from different governors, and upcoming induction into the Indiana Associated Press Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

Directs the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit a copy of the resolution to Jim Shella and his family.
