Indiana House of Representatives recognizes Mason Metzger's courage and strength in overcoming significant health challenges and accomplishments.

Mason Metzger was born prematurely on January 29, 1999, without breathing and suffered oxygen loss to his brain, later diagnosed with spastic cerebral palsy at age 1.

Mason is a senior at Warsaw Community High School who uses a motorized wheelchair, hand-powered bicycle, swims, water skis, and completes triathlons with TEAM TRIUMPH.

Mason has spoken to nearly 30 groups about perseverance, hope, and purpose since dreaming of becoming a motivational speaker in eighth grade, winning the Indiana Council for Exceptional Children's 2015 "Yes I Can" award.

Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives shall transmit a copy of this resolution to Mason Metzger and his family.
