Designates that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. be remembered and recognized by future generations of Americans for his leadership, service, and vision of equality and justice.

Calls upon all citizens of Indiana to honor Dr. King by living out his teachings and working toward a society where the dignity and humanity of every person are respected.

Recognizes Dr. King's dreams of an America where justice prevails, neighbors look beyond external differences, all people are treated as equals, and liberty and freedom are guaranteed as inalienable rights.

Acknowledges Dr. King as a Nobel Prize recipient and national hero whose birthday is celebrated as a day of peace, love, and understanding.

Directs the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit a copy of the resolution to the family of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
