Congratulates Linton-Stockton High School football team on winning the Class A state championship for the second time with an undefeated 15-0 season.

Second-ranked Linton-Stockton Miners defeated third-ranked Pioneer High School 34-20 at Lucas Oil Stadium on November 26, 2016.

Senior quarterback Tyler Meurer accounted for all five Miners touchdowns, running for 158 yards and four scores while throwing for 95 yards and one touchdown.

Pioneer led 20-19 with 11:45 remaining in the game before Linton-Stockton executed back-to-back scoring drives to secure the state title.

Directs the Principal Clerk of the House to transmit copies of the resolution to all team members, coaches, managers, trainer, team physicians, athletic director, principal, and superintendent.
