Indiana House of Representatives congratulates the Lincoln Amphitheatre in Lincoln City on its 30th anniversary of its inaugural season in 1987.

Lincoln Amphitheatre is one of the largest roofed amphitheaters in the United States with 1,500 seats located in Lincoln State Park where Abraham Lincoln walked as a boy.

Amphitheatre housed the Young Abe Lincoln musical outdoor drama for 19 years until August 2005 when funding was lost, then reopened in 2016 with Indiana General Assembly approval of $1.6 million for facility upgrades.

2016 season featured 6 performances of the Lincoln musical drama and 9 additional concert performances for a total of 15 events, including a successful trial event on October 24, 2015.
