Frankton High School boys basketball team won the Class 2A state championship on March 25, 2017, defeating Crawford County High School 60-32 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, marking the school's first state basketball championship in history.

The team recorded 19 steals in the championship game, an all-class championship game record, and achieved a 28-point margin of victory that exceeded the previous Class 2A record by one point.

Maurice Knight scored 23 points in the championship game and finished second on Frankton's all-time scoring list with 1,313 points while breaking the single season scoring record with 625 points.

Keegan Freestone won the Arthur L. Trester Mental Attitude Award in Class 2A boys basketball and ranks third academically in his senior class while serving as vice president of the National Honor Society.

The Indiana House of Representatives congratulates the team members, coaching staff, and school administrators, with copies of the resolution to be transmitted to all team members and staff.
