Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded at Howard University on January 16, 1920, and operates more than 800 chapters across the United States, the Bahamas, Germany, Japan, Korea, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The sorority participates in national programs including the Elder Care Initiative, Stork's Nest (prenatal health promotion for low-income pregnant women), Zeta Prematurity Awareness Program, Adopt-A-School, World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, International Women of Color, and Triple Negative Breast Cancer awareness.

Indiana has eight graduate chapters (Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Speedway, East Chicago, Bloomington, South Bend, and Gary) and seven undergraduate chapters at universities including IU Bloomington, Purdue, Indiana State, DePauw, IUPUI, Ball State, and IU Southeast.

The Indiana House of Representatives acknowledges Zeta Phi Beta Day at the Statehouse and thanks members for their dedicated work in educating the public, assisting youth, funding scholarships, and promoting civic and social change.

The Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Indiana Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.
