Senate Enrolled Act No. 114 Summary

• Repeals the jobs creation committee effective July 1, 2017, and transfers all its powers, duties, agreements, liabilities, records, property, and funds to the Indiana professional licensing agency as the successor agency.

• Replaces all references to "committee" with "agency" throughout Indiana Code sections governing review and evaluation of regulated occupations, including IC 25-1-16 and IC 25-1-18.

• Requires the agency to review and evaluate each regulated occupation and board at least every five (5) years, with recommendations on licensing modifications, board consolidations, license eliminations, or license consolidations.

• Establishes that supporting organization applications must be submitted before July 1, 2017, and that no more than five (5) supporting organizations may be approved under the certification program.

• Sets a deadline for individuals to be placed on the state registry before July 1, 2017, with eligibility requirements including criminal history clearance, tax liability verification, and child support compliance.
