Legislative Description

Annexation. For an annexation ordinance adopted after June 30, 2017, upon the request of a member of the county executive, requires a majority of the members of the county executive to approve or deny the annexation. Provides that the annexation proceedings are terminated if the county executive votes to deny the annexation. Provides that the annexation is considered approved by the county executive if the county executive does not vote to approve or deny the annexation within 90 days. Requires that a fiscal plan after June 30, 2017, must address any estimated effects the annexation may have on taxing units
