Indiana University South Bend's 2017 Jubilee Year celebrates three concurrent anniversaries: 100 years of classes offered in South Bend (since 1916), 50 years of degree conferrals (since 1967), and 25 years of the unified School of the Arts (since 1992)

Indiana University began offering evening extension courses in South Bend in 1933 at Central High School, with the first 31 degrees conferred in 1967 in Northside Hall

Campus enrollment has grown to 7,574 students, including more than 500 graduate students, with more than 31,000 alumni across 50 states and 46 foreign countries, and the university now offers more than 100 degree programs

Indiana General Assembly recognizes Indiana University South Bend for its commitment to providing accessible and high-quality college education to students of all ages and backgrounds

Secretary of the Senate shall transmit a copy of this resolution to Chancellor Terry L. Allison, the President of the IUSB Academic Senate, and the Chair of the IUSB Advisory Board
