Requires hospitals with fewer than 20 inpatient beds (excluding critical access and psychiatric hospitals) to prominently display notices about their charges and facility fees.

Mandates notices be posted in 12-point font on the hospital's website and on 11" x 17" posters at the primary entrance, each patient treatment room, and payment locations.

Notices must inform patients that the hospital charges comparable to emergency department rates, may charge facility fees, providers may not be network providers, and providers may bill separately from the hospital.

Adds definitions for "covered individual," "facility fee," "health plan," "network," "network provider," "out of network provider," and "provider group" to Indiana Code.

Effective July 1, 2018, with conforming amendments to related health care provider and records provisions.
