Legislative Description
State fair. Permits the governor to make certain appointments to the state fair commission (commission) and state fair board (board) without regard to an individual's political party affiliation. (Under current law, appointments of individuals made by the governor to the commission and board are subject to consideration of an individual's political party affiliation.) Permits the vice chairperson of the state fair advisory committee to serve as a nonvoting member of the commission.
