Legislative Description

Elementary school teacher content area licenses. Provides that, not later than July 1, 2019, the state board of education shall adopt rules to establish elementary school teacher content area licenses that must, at a minimum, include an: (1) elementary mathematics specialist license; and (2) elementary mathematics teacher license or an elementary mathematics and science teacher license. Establishes requirements to be eligible for an elementary mathematics specialist license, an elementary mathematics teacher license, and an elementary mathematics and science teacher license.
