Notes that Dubois County comprises 432 square miles and was originally populated by the Piankashaw and Shawnee tribes

Acknowledges the county was named after Toussaint Dubois, the first person to own property in the area, though he never resided there

Documents that Portersville was the first county seat with government proceedings at Fort McDonald until 1818, when the seat moved to Jasper in 1830

Directs the Principal Clerk of the House to transmit a copy of the resolution to the Dubois County Council, Commissioners, and Visitors Center and Tourism Commission
