Commemorates the 50th anniversary of Senator Robert F. Kennedy's speech delivered on April 4, 1968, in Indianapolis following Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination in Memphis, Tennessee.

Recognizes that Kennedy's five-minute remarks asking for peace prevented violence in Indianapolis, unlike many other American cities that experienced rioting that night.

Notes the September 30, 1995 unveiling of the Landmark for Peace sculpture at Martin Luther King Jr. Park, depicting Senator Kennedy and Dr. King reaching toward each other, with President Bill Clinton in attendance.

Acknowledges the Indianapolis community's annual commemoration of Kennedy's speech since 2005 and the KennedyKing Memorial Initiative (KKMI) that organizes April 4 and June 6 events and raises funds for park improvements.

Supports U.S. Representative Andre Carson's H.R. 4851 (Kennedy King Establishment Act of 2018), which would designate Martin Luther King Jr. Park as a National Historic Site within the National Park Service.
