Recognizes the 20th anniversary of Purdue University's Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS), founded in 1998 as the first academic institute of its kind in the United States addressing information assurance, security, and privacy.

CERIAS has educated more than 1,000 information security researchers, practitioners, and policy makers worldwide and currently has over 400 affiliated faculty and students across Purdue University campuses in Indiana.

CERIAS research and industry collaboration has significantly impacted computer and network security, eCommerce safety, cybercrime and cyberterrorism prevention, critical infrastructure protection, and national defense.

CERIAS-affiliated projects have directly and indirectly resulted in founding new businesses contributing to commerce and workforce development within Indiana.

Principal Clerk of the House shall transmit a copy of the resolution to CERIAS members and Purdue University President Mitch Daniels.
