Indiana House of Representatives honors George Kristo on his retirement as executive director of the Hamilton County Council on Alcohol and Other Drugs

Kristo moved to Noblesville, Indiana in 1990 after a 32-year career with Blue Cross Blue Shield and began leading the Council on January 2, 1996, as the first full-time executive director

During his 22-year tenure, Kristo led the Council's mission to reduce and prevent alcohol consumption and illegal drug use among county youth, establishing the Traffic Safety Partnership and building relationships with local schools

Beyond his Council role, Kristo has volunteered for 5.5 years at Riverwalk Village and served on boards for Habitat for Humanity, Main Street, Hamilton County Mental Health Association, and Youth As Resources, while maintaining weekly service at Our Lady of Grace Church
