Commemorates Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and recognizes him as one of the nation's great leaders who changed America through his leadership, service, and vision.

Acknowledges Dr. King's dreams of a nation where justice prevails, people are judged by inner qualities rather than external characteristics, and all people are treated as equal.

Recognizes Dr. King's belief that liberty, justice, and freedom are inalienable rights for all people and his spiritual conviction that all people are created equal in dignity and self-worth.

Directs Indiana citizens to honor Dr. King by living out his teachings and working toward a society where the dignity and humanity of every person are respected.

Requires the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit a copy of the resolution to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s family.
