NCNW is a nonprofit membership organization comprised of 36 national African-American women's organizations with more than 230 community and campus-based sections that serves nearly 3 million women, their families, and communities

NCNW has been in existence in Indiana since 1947, with the Indianapolis Section having 136 active members led by President Regina Majors and eight other officers

Indiana House of Representatives recognizes the great work done by the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. and its Indianapolis Section
