HR 1536 - Honoring Representative Wes Culver

• Representative Wes Culver, elected in 2008 to represent House District 49, is leaving the Indiana House of Representatives at the end of the 2018 session.

• Culver served as Chair of the Statutory Committee on Interstate and International Cooperation and as a member of the Financial Institutions Committee, Roads and Transportation Committee, and Pension Management Oversight Committee.

• Culver promoted Indiana tourism through service on the Indiana Tourism Council and as cochair of the Indiana Tourism Caucus, while also pursuing a successful business career and starting multiple nonprofit organizations including Legacy Child (adoption assistance), Shalom House (Mennonite World Relief homes), and New Harvest Ministries (10-year Christian teaching ministry).

• The Indiana House of Representatives bids farewell to Representative Culver, acknowledging his loyal and faithful service to his constituency.

• The Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives shall transmit copies of this resolution to Representative Culver and his family.
