Legislative Description
Traffic stop safety education. Requires that an examination for a learner's permit or driver's license must include a test of the applicant's knowledge of the rights and responsibilities of a driver and passenger during a traffic stop by a law enforcement officer. Requires the driver education advisory board to consult with the commissioner of the bureau of motor vehicles and the state police department on the administration of a traffic stop safety education program. Requires the bureau of motor vehicles to coordinate with the state police department to provide a traffic stop safety education program.
