Urges the Indiana Department of Transportation to rename Indiana State Road 641 the "Edward A. Pease Bypass"

Edward A. Pease was born in Terre Haute in 1951, graduated from Gerstmeyer High School and Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and Juris Doctorate

As Indiana State Senator, Pease served as Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, authored an English language requirement for state government documents, and worked on legislation affecting mental health, the arts, transportation, and infrastructure

As U.S. Congressman serving on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Pease secured federal funding for infrastructure projects including the Lafayette Railroad Relocation Initiative, Hendricks County North-South Corridor, and Hoosier Heartland Highway, and worked bipartisanly with Governor Frank O'Bannon on transportation issues
