The Indiana General Assembly recognizes Ball State University's 100th anniversary of its founding in 1918 as the Indiana State Normal School Eastern Division in Muncie.

Ball State University currently serves 22,513 students across approximately 190 undergraduate majors and more than 140 graduate programs, many of which are nationally and internationally ranked.

The university has approximately 190,000 alumni worldwide, many residing in Indiana and serving as leaders in their professions and communities.

The Secretary of the Senate shall transmit 15 copies of this resolution to Ball State University President Geoffrey S. Mearns.
