Congratulates the Lewis Cass High School Marching Kings for winning the 2017 Class C Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) marching band competition.

The 104-member band performed a thirteen-minute show based on Vincent van Gogh's "The Starry Night," featuring works by Don McLean, Camille-Saint Saëns, Claude Debussy, and Sergei Prokofiev.

Won the Bands of America Super Regional Championship on October 21st in the Class 1A division (schools with 600 or fewer students in grades 10-12), placing first in music, visual, and general effect categories.

The Marching Kings have been state finalists for 36 consecutive years with twenty-eight top-three placements, nine runner-up awards, and eight state champion titles.

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit copies of this resolution to the Lewis Cass Marching Kings.
