Honors Dr. Thomas Kazee upon his retirement as the 23rd President of the University of Evansville after serving since his inauguration on October 1, 2010, and Dr. Sharon Kazee as first lady.

Recognizes Dr. Thomas Kazee's leadership accomplishments including implementing a facilities master plan, securing the largest financial gift in UE history, constructing the McCarthy Greenhouse, and adding new academic programs in Statistics and Data Science, Public Health, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Physician Assistant studies.

Acknowledges Dr. Sharon Kazee's contributions as an educator for over 30 years and her instrumental role in founding the DaVinci Institute, serving on multiple community boards, and chairing the Council of Independent Colleges' Presidential Spouses and Partners Task Force.

Recognizes Dr. Sharon Kazee's receipt of multiple awards including the 2017 Barbara St. Clair McKenna Award, 2015 Arts Council Educator Award, and Mayor's Arts Awards for Education in 2015 and 2017.

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit copies of the resolution to Dr. Thomas Kazee and Dr. Sharon Kazee upon their retirement effective May 31, 2018.
