Phillip (Sean) Barrett retires from the Indianapolis Fire Department on March 19, 2018, after 33 years of service to the greater Indianapolis community

Barrett served in the United States Marine Corps for six years starting in 1975, then worked as an EMT for Wishard Hospital Ambulance Service from 1982 to 1985 before joining the Indianapolis Fire Department in March 1985

Barrett worked as a firefighter, engineer, and EMT, and transferred from the old City of Indianapolis Fire Department to the Franklin Township sector following a department merger, retiring from Station 52 in Acton, Indiana

The Indiana General Assembly congratulates Sean Barrett on his retirement and directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit a copy of the resolution to Barrett and his family
