Lodge was originally chartered on May 29, 1867, with first master Arland O.D. Kelley appointed in 1866; first lodge building purchased in 1872

Lodge building served as a temporary school for local children from 1919 to 1920 while a new school was under construction

Freemasons of Greentown established a scholarship program in 2004 for Eastern High School students, awarding over $50,000 to 30 young adults

Indiana has over 50,000 Masons in almost 400 lodges statewide, with membership open to men of good character regardless of race, religion, political views, sexual orientation, or national origin
