Hamilton Southeastern High School and Fishers Junior High School won the 2018-2019 Indiana "We the People" state championships on December 11, 2018, in the high school and middle school divisions respectively

Hamilton Southeastern High School will compete at the National Finals in Virginia from April 26-29, 2019; Fishers Junior High will defend its 2018 first-place finish at the National Invitational from May 3-6, 2019

More than 600 students from 14 high schools competed in the high school competition, while 12 schools participated in the middle school contest

The "We the People" program, developed by the Center for Civic Education and funded by the U.S. Department of Education, State of Indiana, and Indiana Bar Foundation, tests students on the Constitution and contemporary issues
