Indiana General Assembly honors Lloyd Wright upon his retirement in July 2019 as President and CEO of WFYI Public Media after more than 30 years with the organization and over four decades in public media

Wright served as President and CEO since June 1989, making him the longest-serving station manager in Indianapolis

Under Wright's leadership, WFYI's annual operating budget grew from $2.5 million in 1988 to over $11 million, and the organization expanded to include three public television services, two HD public radio channels, and social media assets

Wright was inducted into the Indiana Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2013, received three Great Lakes Region Emmy Awards (2001, 2013, 2014), and was twice named Sagamore of the Wabash (2003, 2013)

Secretary of the Senate directed to transmit a copy of the resolution to Lloyd Wright
