Jonathan Arndt, math teacher at Argos Junior/Senior High School in Indiana, was named the 2019 AP Midwestern Region Teacher of the Year by the College Board

Arndt teaches AP Calculus AB, algebra, precalculus, eighth grade math, and supervises a math lab

After participating in the University of Notre Dame's Indiana Advanced Placement Teacher Investment Program, more than half of Arndt's AP Calculus students earned qualifying scores, up from only a handful when he first taught the course in 2015-16

The award was selected by a College Board committee representing 13 Midwestern states including Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wisconsin

The Secretary of the Senate is directed to transmit copies of the resolution to Jonathan Arndt and Argos Junior/Senior High School
