Honors the long and rich history of friendship and economic partnership between Japan and the State of Indiana.

Recognizes Indiana's robust economic partnership with Japan, which has yielded over 67,000 jobs and includes Indiana having the largest amount of Japanese investment per capita among U.S. states.

Acknowledges Japan as Indiana's third largest export partner, with over $2 billion of Indiana-made goods exported to Japan in 2018, and notes the growth of Japanese companies in Indiana from less than 20 in the 1980s to more than 320.

Recognizes the sister-state relationship between Indiana and Tochigi Prefecture celebrating 20 years of friendship and exchange in July 2019, along with 13 additional sister-city relationships between Japan and Indiana.

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit a copy of the resolution to Consul-General Naoki Ito.
