Indiana Senate resolution congratulating Pastor Royce F. Thompson, Sr. and Lady Tarniesha Thompson on their 8th Pastoral Appreciation at The New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Gary, Indiana

The New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church was established in 1958 and feeds and clothes over 3,000 families annually through church donations and the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana

Pastor Thompson serves in multiple leadership roles including Assistant General Secretary of the Baptist Minister's Conference of Gary and Vicinity, Vice President of The Northern Indiana Missionary Baptist Educational District Association, and Chaplain for the Gary Police Department

Lady Tarniesha Thompson serves as women's ministry director, choir member, and youth department leader at the church, and has taught in Gary-area charter schools for over 13 years

Resolution directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit a copy to Pastor Thompson and Lady Thompson
