Jim Kessler retired as Head Men's Basketball Coach at Grace College after 42 years, concluding the 2018-2019 season.

Kessler achieved 788 career victories (28th all-time), 18 seasons with at least 20 wins, 19 national tournament appearances, and won the 1992 NAIA National Championship.

Kessler received multiple awards including Crossroads League Coach of the Year, NAIA Coach of the Year, NCCAA Coach of the Year, and inductions into the NAIA Hall of Fame, NCCAA Hall of Fame, and Grace College Athletic Hall of Fame.

Kessler served as a court coach for USA Basketball's World University Games Training Camp and organized annual tournaments in Kosciusko County to support charitable organizations including Habitat for Humanity and the Kosciusko County Care Cancer Fund.

The Secretary of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of the resolution to Jim Kessler and his family.
