Urges the Indiana Legislative Council to assign the topic of insurance coverage for pharmacist care services to an interim study committee

Pharmacists currently provide health care services like tobacco cessation and diabetes management within their scope of practice, but these services are not covered by accident and sickness insurance policies

Study committee would examine creation of an "advanced practice pharmacist" designation, including qualifications and functions for this role

Study committee would examine inclusion of pharmacists and advanced practice pharmacists as providers in insurance networks under IC 27-8-5-1

Final report with findings and recommendations due to the legislative council by November 1, 2019
