Indiana Senate Resolution honors Ronald "Ron" Cunningham for over 35 years of teaching and inspiring students

Cunningham taught U.S. history at Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis from 1972 until his retirement in 2007, after beginning his career in Indianapolis Public Schools (1969-1971)

Born November 15, 1946, in Lebanon, Indiana; graduated from Lebanon High School (1965) and Hanover College with a B.A. in history (1969)

Contributed to extracurricular activities including coaching freshman tennis and portraying "Mr. Fred Rogers" at after-prom events

Several of his former students went on to serve in Indiana state and federal government positions
