House Resolution honors Speaker Brian C. Bosma upon his retirement from the Indiana House of Representatives, where he served since first being elected in 1986

Bosma is the longest-serving speaker in Indiana history, leading the House under Republican majorities from 2004-2006 and 2010-2020

Under his leadership, 43 bills he personally authored were enacted, 14 different taxes were cut or eliminated over 15 years, and a 20-year fully funded road plan was established

Bosma broke 195 years of institutional tradition by appointing two minority party members to committee chair positions and implemented transparency measures including live streaming of all committee and session meetings

Resolution directs the Principal Clerk to transmit a copy to Speaker Bosma and his family
