Honors Second Lieutenant Harry J. Michael, born March 13, 1922, in Benton, Indiana, a Purdue University agriculture student who left his studies to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II

Recognizes 2LT Michael as the only Purdue student or faculty member awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor

2LT Michael was killed in action on March 13, 1945, near Neiderzerf, Germany, while serving as a rifle platoon leader with Company L, 3d Battalion, 318th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division

Requires the Principal Clerk of the House to transmit copies of the resolution to the INDOT Commissioner, Tippecanoe County Veterans Council, and the offices of State Representative Chris Campbell and State Senator Ron Alting
